A funeral home does not benefit because an advert received a large number of clicks. It benefits when the right family makes contact and the funeral director has a genuine opportunity to help.
Start with call quality
Reporting should distinguish between a new bereavement call, an existing family, a supplier, a job enquiry and a nuisance call. Treating all calls as equal produces misleading results.
Connect the landing page
Every campaign should lead to a page that matches the search, explains the service and gives a clear route to telephone contact. Sending every advert to the homepage makes measurement and improvement harder.
Protect the budget
Negative keywords, location controls, scheduling, click-fraud monitoring and regular search-term reviews are essential when every click may be expensive.
Report what can be acted upon
A useful report shows spend, qualified calls, cost per meaningful enquiry, missed calls, landing-page performance and changes made. It should finish with a small number of clear actions rather than pages of charts.
